What Will Your Church Look Like Ten Years from Now?

Many Korean-American churches have already crossed a critical demographic threshold: more than 60 percent of their congregants are now over the age of 60. This is the natural outcome of the aging of first-generation immigrants and a trend that will continue for the next 20 to 30 years. Yet most churches still view their senior members primarily as recipients of pastoral care, without systematic efforts to transform their rich faith experience and life wisdom into an active force for ministry.

The Active Seniors Ministry Lecture Series, offered by the California Prestige University Lifelong Institute (PULI), was launched to address this very challenge. It is the first professional leadership training program in the Korean-American church community dedicated specifically to senior ministry. Cohort 1 was successfully completed with pastors and lay leaders from across the United States, Korea, Argentina, and beyond.

Building on the foundation of Cohort 1, this second cohort features a refined curriculum and an expanded faculty of 16 leading experts, delivering 12 courses and 5 special seminars over 44 weeks. We invite pastors, ministry workers, and lay leaders who share our vision of moving senior ministry “from the recipients of care to partners in ministry” to join us.

Certificate Upon Completion

Participants who complete all four modules within one year will receive a Certificate issued under the name of California Prestige University. This is the first official credential in the Korean-American church community that formally recognizes professional competence in senior ministry, and can be used to strengthen leadership placement and ministry expertise in your church.
